Where to work remotely near Acadia.

Traveling to Acadia National Park and wondering where you can work remotely nearby?

Most of the coffee shops near Acadia are meant for grab-and-go coffee (no seating) or socializing (no plugs). Luckily for you, I’ve already suffered through all these and figured out the best places to work near Acadia. Here is a list of the best coffee shops and libraries in the area. I hope one of them can help (temporarily) satisfy your endless search for coffee, plugs, and wifi.

Places to work near Acadia:

Choco-Latte Cafe 👌

Choco-latte is my top recommendation for where to work near Acadia. They’re in a great location, right downtown in Bar Harbor. There are ample plugs, the wifi’s always been reasonably quick, and their coffee is tasty. (As a side note, the chai tea smells delicious when you walk in, but don’t be tempted! It’s overly sugary and pretty weak.)

Milagro Coffee and Espresso

Milagro is a quaint little coffee shop in Southwest Harbor. Its reliable internet was a godsend when the wifi at my Airbnb stopped working during a meeting. Extra points for selling reusable straws!

Keep in mind that Milagro closes for the winter season. So if you visit after the beginning of October, you’ll probably need to find an alternate place to work.

Independent Coffee

One more coffee shop in Bar Harbor. Independent Coffee seems to get a little louder than Choco-latte, and I eventually had to leave because the plugs were so limited. But I did enjoy the window seating, and they also have a wide food selection.

Jesup Memorial Library

As a final note, Bar Harbor’s public library (Jesup Memorial Library) is adorable. But the plug situation there is brutal, and the wifi is quite spotty. I would recommend checking it out, but not planning on staying there all day.

Good luck with your remote work!
