Brown & Brown is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join their growing team. The role involves ensuring the integrity of accounting information through recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities
- Enter, balance, and post all daily cash, ACH, check, and credit card deposits.
- Generate and send out customer requests for information including follow-up requests.
- Review and process Customer files.
- Generate and send out customer invoices.
- Generate age analysis; review AR aging to ensure compliance.
- Follow up with customers regarding open balances, via account statements and payment reminders.
- Perform new customer credit checks and establish customer payment terms.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies.
Requirements
- BS degree in Accounting/Finance (preferred)
- 2+ years corporate accounting experience in a relevant industry
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, such as QuickBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills including SUMIF’s and VLOOKUP’s
