The AI Security Engineer at ISC2 is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks associated with artificial intelligence and machine learning systems. The role involves evaluating AI/ML pipelines, large language models, and AI-powered products for vulnerabilities and threats, and embedding security controls throughout the AI development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Perform security assessments of AI/ML systems, including threat modeling, adversarial testing, and evaluation of AI-powered products.
- Evaluate AI/ML implementations for vulnerabilities such as prompt injection, jailbreaking, model inversion, data poisoning, membership inference, and adversarial attacks.
- Define and implement secure AI development lifecycle (AI-SDLC) standards, including secure model training, data governance, and deployment guardrails.
- Conduct third-party AI vendor and supply chain risk assessments, evaluating API-based AI services for data handling, privacy, and security.
- Partner with engineering and product teams for security reviews and risk acceptance for AI features.
- Monitor AI threat landscape, emerging attack techniques, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Support ISO/IEC 27001:2022 ISMS by mapping AI risk controls and contributing to risk treatment plans.
- Develop and deliver training on responsible AI use, threats, and secure integration.
- Contribute to ISC2’s thought leadership in AI security through content, certification, and research.
Requirements
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and cloud AI services (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI).
- Knowledge of AI governance frameworks: NIST AI RMF, OWASP Top 10 for LLMs, MITRE ATLAS, EU AI Act.
- Foundation in application and infrastructure security, including web testing, network security, and secure coding (Python, JavaScript).
- Relevant certifications: CISSP, CSSLP, GWEB, GMLSC, or emerging AI security certifications; ISC2 certifications valued.
- Research, publication, conference presentations, or open-source contributions in AI security.
