Area Sales Manager - Spain

The company specializes in rental, pooling, and cleaning of packaging materials, operating across Europe, including the Netherlands, UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, and Spain. The role involves developing sales in the North & East Spain region, focusing on new market development and customer consolidation.
Location: Remote (Spain)
Responsibilities
- Consolidate existing customer base / account management
- Actively search for new markets, targeting organizations processing and/or moving liquid products across sectors such as food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and chemical.
- Prospecting through list and internet requests.
- Customer needs analysis, development, and costing of suitable logistics solutions for IBCs.
- Product demonstration.
- Making commercial offers with support from depot and head office teams.
- Negotiating prices, quantities, and deadlines to close sales.
- Participating in trade shows and promotional events.
- Providing market intelligence and comprehensive activity reports to the Market Director.
Requirements
- Minimum Master’s degree in sales and commercial development.
- Successful track record in sales, ideally in a similar or aligned industry sector.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic, high energy, drive, and determination.
- Ability to develop new business ('hunter') and manage existing accounts ('farmer').
- Personable with strong relationship-building skills.
- Strong presentation skills (written & verbal).
- Experience selling to bulk liquid sectors (food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, chemicals).
- Natural communicator at all levels.
- Solution sales / technical sales ability.
- Numerically competent.
- Excellent organizational skills (territory planning and time management).
- Ability to absorb client information and communicate features and benefits.
- Fluent in English.
- 5+ years in B2B sales in sectors like food processing, cosmetics, logistics, or packaging.
