AWS DevOps Specialist - Full Remote - Contractor in USD

Remote AWS DevOps specialist for an international organization, with experience in agile environments, focusing on build, release, CI/CD, and microservices deployment using Docker and AWS.

Location: Remote (US)

Responsibilities

• Assist in migration of websites to AWS
• Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based production system
• Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS production systems
• Management of creation, release, and configuration of production systems
• System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms
• Pre-production acceptance testing for quality assurance
• Provision of critical system security by leveraging best practices and prolific cloud security solutions
• Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements
• Definition and deployment of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring on AWS platform
• Designing, maintenance and management of tools for automation of different operational processes
• Perform other duties as may be reasonably required and in line with the incumbent’s scope of services above

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree
• +3 years of hands-on experience supporting application build and deployment in a AWS Cloud environment
• Experience and deep understanding of core DevOps practices (Configuration Management, Continuous Integration, Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Monitoring)
• Experience and deep understanding of DevOps integration with automated testing and/or automation deployment verification
• Experience and expertise in scripting languages and databases: Python, Terraform and MongoDB, Redis
• Knowledge/experience with AWS services – EC2, ECS, ELB/ALB, Security Groups, Route53, IAM, KMS, Cognito, Secrets Manager, Parameter Store, Lambda, SES, SNS, SQS
• Familiar with various Branching strategies, pull request concept and GIT commands and Bash
• Knowledge/experience of Microservices architecture, Docker container implementation
• Certification is an advantage
• English language proficiency (oral and written)
