BlackMill Games - Multiplayer Game Designer (F/H/NB)

BlackMill Games is seeking a Multiplayer Game Designer to work on WW1-themed multiplayer first-person shooters. The role involves designing online game experiences, balancing, community engagement, and collaborating with a creative team. This is a fully remote, full-time position based in Europe.

Location: Europe

Salary: €36,000 – €42,000

Responsibilities

• Reviewing game balance using player input and analytics data, engaging with the community on game design.
• Overseeing the implementation of new features and systems from ideation to shipment, working with the creative team.
• Assisting developers with prototyping new features by creating briefs, system outlines, technical specifications, and visual concepts.
• Crafting concise design documents to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Designing UX for multiplayer and online features such as matchmaking, communication, and HUDs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working on at least one commercial multiplayer title.
• Experience with Unity on multiplayer titles and telemetry.
• Strong knowledge of multiplayer game balancing, meta games, match pacing, and player engagement.
• Ability to use 2D tools to create clear concepts and designs.
• Located in Europe.
• Experience working in a remote environment.
• Available for 32-40 hours per week.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Interactive Media, or related field, or relevant professional experience.
