The Business Development Manager at RWS is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities in language services and AI/technology solutions, primarily through outbound prospecting and relationship building.
Location: Remote (US)
Salary: $85,000–$120,000 per year plus commission
Responsibilities
- Achieve or exceed sales targets, KPIs, and revenue goals.
- Identify new opportunities and build a pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, lead generation, or collaboration with Account Managers.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients to understand their needs and position solutions effectively.
- Develop sales strategies to win new accounts or expand existing ones, lead sales cycle, tailor proposals, and close contracts.
- Partner with Industry Consultants and Pre-Sales to strengthen sales credibility.
- Formulate the forecast on opportunities in motion.
- Keep CRM systems updated and maintain CRM hygiene.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to align go-to-market efforts and messaging.
- Represent RWS at events, trade shows, and client meetings to build brand visibility and credibility.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of successful sales experience in selling technology (SaaS solutions) to CxOs (CMO, CTO, CAIO…) in different verticals and eventually in selling services.
- A network of key decision makers for technology in different verticals.
- Communication skills, including delivery of presentations and pitches.
- Experience in consultative sales.
- Demonstrable success in closing new business and retaining existing accounts.
- Demonstrable experience in prospecting and outbound lead generation activities.
- Structured approach to selling. Self-Organization and time management.
- Business analysis, planning, and organizational skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- Commercial awareness and results focus.
- Relationship management.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Ability to learn new products and services.
- Experience tracking sales activity in a CRM tool (e.g., Salesforce).
- Ability to work remotely with previous success in performing independently.

Additional Information
- Base salary ranges from $85,000 to $120,000 per annum plus a generous commission.
- Total compensation may include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and other perks.
- The role is remote-based in the US.
