Serves as a senior technical instructor responsible for the delivery, development, and continuous improvement of licensed and non-licensed operations training programs for BWRX-300 technology, applying the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).
Location: Remote
Salary: $93,500.00 - $155,900.00 USD annually, plus potential performance bonus/variable incentive/equity
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of the Maintenance – Mechanical Initial Training Program for BWR/ABWR/BWRX-300 technology.
- Contribute to the design and development of the Maintenance – Mechanical Continuing Training Program.
- Oversee quality and maintenance of training analysis, job & task analysis, training matrices, curriculum, evaluation strategies, and training materials.
- Ensure instructional quality of maintenance training programs for BWR, ABWR, BWRX-300, and similar technologies.
- Represent GEH training in internal, customer, and regulatory venues.
- Support management and delivery of training programs with other BWRX-300 GTP personnel.
- Deliver Mechanical cross-training to other GTP personnel.
- Lead/support training program reviews for effectiveness, continuous improvement, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other training and business units to support fleet services.
- Perform special assignments as directed by the Training Manager/Leader.
Requirements
- Mechanical Instructor Certification/Qualification (BWR).
- Mechanical trade certification/qualification or USN Nuclear Mechanical Certification/Qualification (Machinist Mate) or Associate Degree Nuclear Maintenance Technician or College Mechanical Technologist/Technician or equivalent experience in the nuclear power industry.
- Minimum of 5 years training experience in the nuclear power industry.
- Knowledge of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).
- Previous certification as a classroom instructor at an NPP.
- Previous certification as an OJT/OJE or TPE at NPP.
- Knowledge of Nuclear Maintenance and related training including Corrective and Preventative Maintenance programs.
- Excellent technical communication skills in English.
- Ability to deliver technical training effectively.
- Personal integrity with handling proprietary and complex technical information.
- Organized, proactive, able to perform under pressure, set priorities, meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal, planning, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
