Care Manager – Patient Support Call Center Remote

Care Managers are responsible for contacting insurance companies to obtain correct eligibility information, perform benefit investigations, copay assistance and check prior authorization and/or appeal status. They may also contact patients and providers to evaluate eligibility for assistance programs. This is a remote position.

Location: Remote

Salary: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform outbound calls to obtain appropriate information and document accurately.
• Answer inbound calls and assist customers with pharmacy-related services.
• Maintain professionalism and provide courteous, friendly service.
• Contact insurance companies for benefit investigation and coverage eligibility.
• Provide prior authorizations and appeals support.
• Assist patients with enrollment in copay assistance programs.
• Update job knowledge through training and work efficiently individually and in a team.
• Maintain quality results by adhering to standards and meeting KPIs.
• Report adverse drug events (ADEs) according to policy and guidelines, adhere to HIPAA, and assist with onboarding new employees.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience in medical billing, reimbursement, insurance verification, or related medical office experience.
• Previous data entry experience (minimum three months) and ability to type 30+ WPM.
• High attention to detail.
• Computer savvy, including navigating multiple tabs, monitors, and applications.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and soft phone systems.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely with a private workspace and reliable internet (Wi-Fi not permitted).
• Reside in the country where the job is posted.
