Chaplain (Part-Time) Delray Beach, FL (Spanish Speaking Required)

Chaplains serve as frontline staff fulfilling the mission and Christian ministry of MCHAP by serving company employees and their immediate families, providing spiritual support, counseling, and related services.

Location: Remote (field-based, dependent on clients' worksites)

Responsibilities

• Serve as a messenger and conveyor of faith, mission, and purpose.
• Interact with companies, employees, and community exhibiting character through personal and spiritual disciplines.
• Make regular visits to company worksites to build relationships of trust and friendship.
• Visit employees or immediate family members at hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, residences, or other sites.
• Provide confidential pastoral discussions on personal issues and offer referrals for specialized assistance.
• Assist in planning, conducting, or attending funerals and providing follow-up support.
• Make jail visits to employees and their families.
• Work with companies to notify families of death or serious injuries and offer support.
• Provide post-termination care for laid-off or terminated employees.
• Facilitate or support spiritual enrichment activities.
• Distribute literature and resources to assist employees with life issues.
• Represent companies in ministry services during serious events.
• Participate in new employee orientation to explain Employee Care Service.
• Respond to other duties requested by leadership within scope.
• Must be able to work as part of an interdisciplinary and interfaith team, accepting diverse lifestyles and beliefs.
• Must have skills in listening, interacting, delivering presentations, and handling stressful situations.
• Must demonstrate spiritual maturity, Christian lifestyle, and understanding of the Bible.
• Must interact professionally, maintain confidentiality, and provide excellent customer service.
• Must have strong communication skills and emotional stability.
• Must be proficient with computer software and technology.
• Must hold an active state driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
