Cleaners

A cleaning role within the retail sector focusing on general cleaning, waste collection, hazard management, and equipment maintenance.

Location: Bar Beach, Australia

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of the retail site
• Collection of waste from designated waste stations
• Maintaining wet floor areas, including common areas and toilets
• Implementing wet weather procedures / displaying wet floor or hazard signage / report hazards and incidents / implementing spillage procedures
• Comply with hygiene policies and procedures / comply with infection control policies and procedures
• Reporting of any maintenance requirements
• Ensuring all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly
• Using appropriate chemicals for cleaning purposes ensuring safe work practices are maintained

Requirements

• Experience working in a high paced environment – retail cleaning
• Previous window cleaning experience
• A good eye for detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and confidence in communicating with people from diverse backgrounds
• Customer service experience, working with the general public
• Machinery experience (ride-on scrubbers, ride-on sweepers, buffers etc)
• Reliable, punctual and well presented
• Ability to work alone and part of a team
• Flexible full-time/part-time shifts available – day, evening and weekends
• Own transport preferred as public transport is limited
• Must have current police check
