Clinical Account Executive, DC

The role involves strategic business development and client management in the oncology and molecular diagnostics space, focusing on expanding Tempus's healthcare solutions and fostering partnerships with cancer centers and clinics.

Location: North DC or surrounding areas

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic business expansion/collaboration opportunities with major U.S. cancer centers, clinics, KOLs, and AMCs.
  • Structure detailed strategic plans for gaining and retaining clients.
  • Maximize client-bill contracting opportunities.
  • Implement laboratory services agreements (LSA’s) with bill account institutions.
  • Collaborate with sales team members to achieve company goals.
  • Identify and develop partnering opportunities with prospective oncology clients.
  • Promote and drive compliance with web-based molecular information tools.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and provide customer feedback.
  • Monitor sales performance to meet objectives.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan for the territory.
  • Work effectively across departments and embody company culture.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide integrated MolDx/SaaS solutions using Tempus’s sequencing technology.
  • Consultative selling skills, especially at the executive level.
  • Understanding of payor and reimbursement environment in oncology and diagnostics.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize.
  • Strong knowledge of molecular diagnostics, oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics, and targeted agents.
  • Excellent negotiation, customer service, and strategic sales planning skills.
  • Outstanding listening, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com.
  • Ability to develop cross-functional relationships.
  • Advanced presentation skills and business acumen.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong administrative and complex environment management skills.
  • Travel more than 50% within the territory.
