Commissioning Field Technician II - Skillbridge Program

The SkillBridge - Data Center Commissioning Field Technician role is an entry-level position designed for military personnel participating in the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program. It involves supporting inspection, testing, and validation of electrical, mechanical, and control systems in data centers, with opportunities for professional growth and certification.

Location: Remote - work from anywhere in the United States. Must be located near a major airport.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspection, validation, testing and verification of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Develop testing plans and procedures.
• Review construction related design documents, drawings and specifications.
• Reporting on project progress and documentation.
• Leverage AI-enabled and digital tools to enhance efficiency.
• Complete assigned tasks on time and within budget.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be a current participant of the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and controls system principles.
• Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Attention to detail in completing assignments.
• Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies.
• Effective remote communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow safety requirements.
• Ability to analyze and prepare reports.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to obtain NFPA 70E / OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications.
