Community Manager - French speaker (contract)

Reddit is seeking a strategic community management and operations expert to help grow its international communities, focusing on France. The role involves building local moderator communities, scaling growth initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Location: Remote - United Kingdom

Responsibilities

• Gain a deep understanding of the French market to identify user and moderator pain points, competitors, and opportunities.
• Cultivate, recruit, educate, and grow a local community of moderators and onboard external creators and users.
• Be a public face with local volunteer moderators to build trust, mediate conflicts, and drive engagement.
• Iterate, innovate, and scale the consumer growth playbook by recognizing new opportunities and persuading internal teams.
• Communicate insights to optimize the growth playbook.
• Achieve aggressive goals and outcomes.
• Run reports, build dashboards, analyze data, set KPIs, and execute community initiatives.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Community, Engineering, Marketing, Safety, and BD teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of community development, project management, growth, operations, or product consulting experience.
• Deep knowledge of French culture, current events, politics, customs, language, and topics of interest.
• Nuanced understanding of the digital landscape and internet culture specific to France.
• Effective communicator in English and French, based in the UK or Ireland.
• Results-oriented with attention to detail.
• Interest in developing and iterating on projects.
