Salary: $81,600 - $95,000

Responsibilities

• Review, research, investigate, negotiate, process, and adjust claims.
• Lead a team and provide development opportunities for direct reports.
• Review CIQ and HUD alerts, track trends, and give development feedback.
• Identify issues in claim handling and recommend solutions.
• Manage team KPI metrics.
• Provide technical claims recommendations to improve case outcomes.
• Review claims on audit and coach/develop adjusters.
• Analyze and report to claims operations and senior leadership.
• Contribute to continuous development of claims guidelines and best practices.
• Recommend product developments and process improvements.
• Establish infrastructure to detect, investigate, and prevent violations of claim handling guidelines.
• Report on trending and opportunities, and communicate with claims leadership and partners.
• Engage in learning to build knowledge of claims, court decisions, guidelines, and policy changes.
• Recruit, retain, and develop a motivated team of claim liability professionals.
• Advocate for talent and build leadership and technical capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Continuous learning with certifications, industry specialization, or claims programs.
• 3+ years of experience resolving liability investigations, including complex cases.
• Strong understanding of liability and casualty principles.
• Experience managing complex Personal Auto claims, including litigation/arbitration.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships.
• Effective communication and collaboration in a matrixed environment.
