Cost Estimating & Price Analysis SME (15.39)

OCT Consulting is seeking a Cost Estimating & Price Analysis SME to support federal government contracting activities, including cost estimating, proposal review, and contract administration.

Location: Remote

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 yearly

Responsibilities

• Identify appropriate cost estimating approaches and develop IGCEs using accepted methodologies.
• Support agency offices and contracting officers in preparing cost evaluation plans and evaluating proposals.
• Draft cost proposal instructions and recommend sample cost exhibits.
• Develop price evaluation plans and review cost proposals, quotations, and bids.
• Support cost and price contract administration, including reviewing contractor submissions and validating option pricing.
• Maintain and improve the client’s cost estimating processes and structures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in federal government contracting, specifically in cost and price analysis.
• At least 5 years of experience performing complex cost analysis for diverse contract types (Fixed Price, Cost-Reimbursement, T&M).
• DAWIA or FAC-C Level II or III in Contracting (Highly Desired).
• Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) from ICEAA (Preferred).
• Deep understanding of FAR regulations and Cost Account Standards (CAS).
• Proven ability to build IGCEs from scratch.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (preferred).
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
