Data Success Manager

The Data Success Manager (Data Acquisition) at Murmuration is responsible for sourcing and collecting data to support partners' electoral, organizing, and advocacy efforts. The role involves managing data processes, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance data-driven initiatives.

Salary: $106,645/yr

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage operational processes for sourcing datasets supporting civic engagement partners.
• Create and perform validation and quality checks on datasets.
• Clean, standardize, and prepare external datasets using SQL and scripting tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand data gaps and sourcing strategies.
• Monitor data quality and flag issues.
• Establish and share processes for dataset evaluation, vendor onboarding, and quality assurance.
• Develop documentation and training for new datasets.
• Support partners' campaign activities when capacity allows.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Operational management skills to build and own processes.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
• Desire to identify and fix data issues proactively.
• Moderate knowledge of SQL and complex queries.
• Moderate experience in scripting languages like Python.
