Deputy Chief Medical Officer - Online Consultation - Aster Digital Health – India Co

Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual consultations with patients via telehealth platform
  • Evaluate patient medical histories, symptoms, and complaints through digital communication
  • Provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards
  • Educate patients on their medical conditions, treatment plans, and preventive healthcare measures
  • Address patient questions and concerns promptly and professionally
  • Manage the team of Medical Officers – Rostering, leave management, conducting seminars or group discussions, team meetings
  • Audit consultations done by Medical Officers, share feedback, monitor performance to ensure quality care
  • Hire, onboard, and train new doctors
  • Coordinate and ensure smooth functioning of health camps (Online and offline)
  • Conduct health talks as per schedules
  • Support marketing team with clinical insights for growth
  • Guide or assist the team in clinical queries or concerns
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Refer patients to in-person consultations or other healthcare services when necessary
  • Adhere to telemedicine best practices and organizational protocols
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to improve telehealth service delivery

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MBBS with or without MD or DNB)
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience in working on an online platform is preferable
  • Previous experience in managing a team and quality audits is highly desirable
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR)
  • Empathy and patient-centric approach
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
