Deputy Director, Operations (East Branch)

Team Rubicon is seeking a Deputy Director of Operations for the East Branch to lead a team, implement strategic goals, and manage disaster response operations in the eastern US region.

Location: Multiple states in the eastern US including Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas

Salary: $90,631.16 - $135,174.32 per year

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe, efficient, and impactful delivery of Team Rubicon services.
• Ensure the development and maintenance of rapport and influence with external stakeholders.
• Develop team performance goals and objectives while mentoring direct reports and managers on performance management.
• Assist with planning and budgeting in accordance with approved training, engagement, and operational tempo.
• Oversee purchasing and expenses in accordance with the National budget.
• Oversee and assess efforts to recruit, engage and train Greyshirts and Greyshirt leaders in accordance with organizational objectives.
• Provide EOC support and disaster response coordination across relevant agencies as needed.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of relevant professional experience in the military, disaster response, emergency management or first responder fields.
• Proven record of personnel management experience such as recruiting, managing, training, and developing employees and volunteers.
• Proficient with technology tools and in remote working for communicating and coordinating with a large network of TR staff members, Greyshirts (volunteers) and external stakeholders.
• Successful past performance in leading volunteers is highly desired.

Additional Information

• This is a full-time; salary, exempt position.
• Remote work with locations in major metro areas within the specified states.
• Evening and weekend schedule supporting leadership meetings, video conferences, events, and operations.
• Local travel required within the area; at least 25% non-local travel to support broader organizational activities.
