DevOps Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for operational improvements including scaling, observability, logging, alerting, containerization, and orchestration.
• Drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Platform Engineering (PE) principles to support scrum and IT operations.
• Lead post-incident reviews to minimize risks and improve processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT Operations, Application Development, Database, EDI, and Clinical Operations.
• Establish and advance a mature DevOps practice with technical excellence.

Requirements

• 4-8 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Systems Administration, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or DevOps.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or relevant experience.
• Experience in Linux-based production environments and AWS core services.
• IaC experience with AWS CloudFormation and knowledge of Terraform.
• Strong CI/CD principles and tooling experience, including deployment automation.
• Experience with container and orchestration technologies like Docker, AWS ECS, Fargate, Kubernetes/EKS.
• Automation and scripting skills in Bash and Python, with exposure to Go.
• Experience with observability practices including metrics, logging, and incident workflows.
• Security-focused with experience in security scanning, secrets management, and access controls.
• Troubleshooting skills for infrastructure and pipelines.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and AI-driven workflows.
