Director of Embodied AI, Data Foundry

Stord is a rapidly growing company that provides commerce-enablement technology and high-volume fulfillment services, managing over $10 billion of commerce annually. They are seeking experts to help scale their teams and achieve their mission of delivering seamless consumer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the early Embodied AI business line, including product, customers, capture program, data operations, team, and P&L.
• Close customers by running discovery and closing pilot deals with humanoid robotics, labs, and physical AI companies.
• Define and deliver the data product, managing quality tiers from RGB video to multimodal capture with annotations.
• Run the capture and delivery program, including hardware selection, enrollment, edge processing, and dataset packaging.
• Build and lead a small, senior team, setting technical direction and quality standards.

Requirements

• Experience running a data operation or data product end-to-end at a robotics or AI data company.
• Technical ability to lead engineers and make architecture decisions, with knowledge of computer vision and ML data formats.
• Commercial instinct with experience selling data products or being an ML customer.
• Ability to operate across product, commercial, operations, and engineering domains.
• Understanding of the physical AI landscape, humanoid robotics, and vision-language-action models.
