Responsibilities
- Plans, directs, maintains, and coordinates network installation, maintenance, and operations.
- Work and build trust across cultural differences.
- Develops and adheres to network security and compliance efforts.
- Acts as an escalation point for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Develops, posts, and reports on service health (KPIs) and focuses on continuous improvement.
- Works with affiliates and external customers to provide network services and support.
- Creates and maintains network service standards and protocols.
- Ensures project delivery on schedule and standards.
- Participates in budgeting, cost savings, and procurement activities.
- Maintains professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking.
- Participates in professional societies.
- Contributes to team efforts.
- Uses AI-enabled tools for troubleshooting, incident analysis, log review, root cause analysis, documentation, and service improvement.
- Applies AI-assisted analysis to accelerate problem resolution and validate findings.
- Identifies opportunities for automation and workflow improvements.
- Supports responsible AI usage following security, privacy, and compliance standards.
- Partners with security, service desk, vendors, and IT teams for AI workflow evaluation.
- Maintains awareness of emerging AI, automation, cloud, and observability capabilities.
- Creates and improves technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Upholds organizational values, promotes efficiency, equity, and service excellence.
- Ensures compliance with policies and regulations.
- Provides feedback and accountability.
- Demonstrates commitment to health equity, racial equity, and addressing structural racism.
- Delivers high-quality results with sound judgment and data-driven decisions.
- Prioritizes customer needs and stakeholder service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work well with diverse teams and build trust.
- Flexibility in communication across cultural environments.
- Experience interacting with vendors for integrated solutions.
- Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends for support.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in multi-state/multi-affiliate environments.
- Ability to respond to urgent situations outside standard hours.
- Teamwork and confidentiality.
- Incident, task, and change management in ITSM.
- Strong understanding of cloud, virtual, and physical network infrastructure and hardware.
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices.
- Create accurate network diagrams and documentation.
- Provide detailed hardware/software information.
- Network security experience in various environments.
- Experience managing VPNs.
- Experience creating and testing message structures and connections.
- Knowledge of network protocols.
- Support and maintenance experience.
- Dedication to organizational mission and values.
- Interpersonal skills for stakeholder relationships.
- Leadership, time management, problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and discretely.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Ability to validate AI recommendations against sources.
- Understanding of responsible AI use.
- Identify AI use cases for incident management and support.
- Write effective troubleshooting prompts.
