English Screener

Toptal is an exclusive network of top freelance professionals including software developers, designers, finance experts, product managers, and project managers. They hire freelancers for important projects and are currently seeking an English Screening Team member to evaluate candidates' English proficiency and professionalism.

Location: Remote

Responsibilities

• Conduct English screening assessments through live interviews and recorded video submissions, evaluating candidates’ English proficiency, professionalism, as well as their overall fit for the Toptal network
• Provide notes and documentation after each interview
• Guide candidates through the screening process and ensure a smooth and positive experience
• Collaborate with the team to ensure alignment on screening standards and processes
• Contribute to continuous improvement of screening workflows and candidate experience

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and interviewing skills
• Experience conducting interviews or candidate assessments is preferred
• Comfortable handling video calls and engaging with global candidates
• Highly organized with strong time management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Comfortable using tools such as Slack and other collaboration platforms
• Experience in remote work environments is a plus
