Executive / Senior Director, Business Development (Pharmacovigilance) - Califo

The role involves leading business development efforts in pharmacovigilance, focusing on client acquisition, retention, and strategic planning within specified regions or accounts. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and external clients to drive growth and maintain long-term relationships.

Responsibilities
- Initiates, coordinates and develops strategic plans and sales strategies within a specified region.
- Meets annual sales goals and objectives of a key strategic region.
- Manage the team to identify new business sales opportunities, and work with the internal PrimeVigilance Team to respond to RFIs or RFPs.
- Establish and maintain regular contact and rapport with clients.
- Prepare and organize sponsor presentations such as bid defence meetings.
- Manage the collection of critical information for proposal preparation.
- Support the team to understand the RFI/RFP process and provide detailed input.
- Monitor and track competitor PV activities.
- Plan and attend major industrial events and tradeshows.
- Identify new markets and research new business opportunities.
- Coordinate activities to develop and retain clients.
- Collect, analyze, and present data related to business development.
- Provide input and support to the VP.
- Encourage open communication within the department and organization.
- Provide reports for senior management.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent); higher degrees like Master, PhD, or MBA are desirable.
- PV Sales experience with influence over multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the PV business.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office & CRM systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Good planning, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
