Finance & Payroll Manager

The role involves handling preparatory accounting tasks, payroll, and supporting external audits, with opportunities for growth in controlling and reporting within an international team.

Location: Remote (Germany)

Responsibilities

• Conducting preparatory bookkeeping, including checking and approving incoming invoices.
• Creating and sending outgoing invoices in accordance with the four-eyes principle.
• Supporting payment processes, including notification and managing dunning procedures and document management.
• Performing monthly payroll accounting, including all reports, remittances, and payments.
• Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements (HGB, RechKredV) and supporting audits.
• Communicating with tax consultancies, tax authorities, and health insurance companies (future responsibility).
• Developing skills in controlling (revenue/costs) and reporting to manage internal stakeholders, investors, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of professional experience in finance.
• 1–2 years of experience in payroll accounting (Payroll).
• Experience in a regulated environment (e.g., RechKredV), ideally in a financial institution or FinTech.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Reliable and structured work approach, high level of self-responsibility.
• Hands-on mentality, flexible thinking, pragmatic problem-solving.
• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
