Freelance Online Mandarin Teacher - Remote

Busuu is a leading EdTech company and part of the Chegg family, focused on empowering people through language learning with a community of over 120 million users. They are seeking a Freelance Online Mandarin Teacher to help students learn Mandarin effectively through online lessons.

Location: Remote

Salary: $14 per lesson

Responsibilities

• Planning, preparing, and teaching online lessons (45 minutes each) for corporate clients.
• Delivering 1:1 private lessons including language teaching and personalized coaching, conducting needs analyses, assessing levels, creating bespoke learning paths, checking progress, and setting goals.

Requirements

• C2 Level of Mandarin
• Valid teaching certificate such as TEFL/CELTA or related university degrees
• Experience in online teaching and providing 1:1 coaching or personalized learning support
• B1 or above in English
• Bonus: Speaking more than two languages
• Comfortable teaching: presentation skills, negotiations, business email etiquette, meeting management, multicultural communication
• Excellent communication skills to engage and teach students
• High-Speed Internet, Modern Laptop / PC with a microphone and camera
• Must comply with local freelance/contractor regulations
