Human Resources Generalist

The role of HR Generalist/Recruiter is a 50/50 blend of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition, supporting a remote workforce and focusing on legal, immigration, and business operations functions. The ideal candidate manages payroll, benefits, and recruiting processes, serving as a trusted partner to leadership.

Location: Remote (Washington State preferred)

Salary: $30-32/hr

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits programs, enrollments, and employee support.
• Coordinate payroll processing and ensure accurate employee records.
• Manage workforce planning, employee onboarding, and offboarding activities.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Support employee relations, performance management, and policy administration.
• Maintain HRIS and employee documentation.
• Partner with leadership on workforce management and organizational planning.
• Lead full-cycle recruiting for legal, immigration, paralegal, attorney, case management, and corporate support positions.
• Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs and recruitment strategies.
• Source, screen, interview, and coordinate candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Manage job postings, applicant tracking systems, and recruiting metrics.
• Build talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
• Create a positive candidate experience and strengthen the employer brand.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or a combined HR/Recruiting role.
• Experience managing payroll, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Proven full-cycle recruiting experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, and applicant tracking systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience recruiting within legal, immigration, professional services, or consulting environments is preferred.
