Industry Officer

Help people build practical skills for life after prison by training prisoners in real workplaces across varied industry settings, supporting community safety through meaningful work.

Location: Geelong, Australia

Salary: $85,787 - $98,651 per year, plus super

Responsibilities

• train and supervise prisoners in commercial and service industry work areas
• maintain safe workplaces by following security, safety and operational procedures
• monitor production, stock, records and equipment to support daily operations
• coach prisoners to build practical skills and improve future employment opportunities
• work with your team to improve processes, complete reports and meet production goals

Requirements

• experience working in a trade or industrial setting while meeting production targets
• knowledge of prison industry procedures or the ability to learn them quickly
• understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and safe work practices
• strong teamwork, resilience and communication skills with a focus on continuous improvement
