International Senior Payroll Manager

An International Payroll Senior Manager is a high-level strategic leader responsible for the accurate and compliant execution of payroll across multiple global jurisdictions. This role bridges the gap between finance, HR, and legal compliance, ensuring that employees are paid on time and in accordance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and corporate policies.

Location: Remote

Salary: $60-$80/hr on W2

Responsibilities

• Manage global payroll strategy and process improvements, including vendor management and systems integration.
• Oversee operational excellence in payroll accuracy, timeliness, issue resolution, cross-functional collaboration, internal controls, data accuracy, and process improvements.
• Drive compliance and risk mitigation in taxation, mobility payroll, and legislative monitoring, including managing expatriate and shadow payroll scenarios.

Requirements

• 12-15+ years in payroll, with at least 5 years in a multinational environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or HR. CPP is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Payroll, T&A, HRIS, and Payroll Service Providers.
• Workday HCM knowledge.
• Excellent project management, organizational, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to support operations, improve processes, and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Self-starter with initiative to lead payroll efforts.
