Junior Mid Full Stack Software Engineer

Black Canyon Consulting (BCC) is seeking a Junior/Mid Full Stack Software Engineer with DevOps exposure to support the development and operation of knowledge-first systems that convert scientific and enterprise data into structured knowledge assets. The role involves building and maintaining production-ready applications across frontend, backend, and deployment environments, with a focus on APIs, data pipelines, and interfaces aligned to query patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain web interfaces using React, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Implement, debug, and improve backend services in Python, including GraphQL APIs and supporting REST endpoints
• Integrate with storage and data sources including local files, SQLite, and S3-compatible systems
• Implement application-level security features
• Write and maintain automated tests and improve reliability
• Support application deployment and operation across environments
• Containerize applications using Docker and Docker Compose
• Configure environments, logging, TLS, and monitoring
• Collaborate across repositories and services

Requirements

• 1–4 years of experience or equivalent
• Experience with React, Next.js, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Proficiency in Python, including GraphQL APIs and REST
• Experience with storage solutions like local files, SQLite, S3-compatible systems
• Knowledge of application security, testing, deployment, and containerization (Docker)
