InductiveHealth, a market leader in SaaS solutions for public health agencies, is seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer with an AI-first mindset. The role involves supporting and enhancing application ecosystems through automation, modern tools, and technologies to improve efficiency and enable data-driven decision-making.
Location: Remote (US)
Salary: $70k–$80k
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions across applications
- Support the development and maintenance of applications using C# and .NET technologies
- Write and optimize queries in SQL Server to support application functionality and reporting
- Build and maintain scripts using PowerShell for automation, deployment, and system management
- Help write and maintain unit and integration tests in C# (xUnit, Moq, AutoFixture)
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery
- Assist with migrating database deployment processes to Red Gate Flyway
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and improve processes
- Troubleshoot application issues and support system enhancements
- Apply AI-first approach to problem-solving, exploring AI/automation tools
- Document processes, solutions, and best practices
- Work with DevOps to build and maintain application observability using Application Insights and Azure Monitor
Requirements
- 0–2 years of experience in software development, automation, or related roles
- Comfort working with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and SSMS
- Basic knowledge of C# and .NET framework
- Understanding of SOLID principles and dependency injection
- Experience with SQL Server and database concepts
- Knowledge of unit testing in .NET and CI/CD pipelines
- Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting
- Understanding of SDLC and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Focus on innovation, automation, and continuous improvement
- Basic understanding of application monitoring and observability
