Leidos is seeking a Lead Civil Site Engineer to lead civil infrastructure design for high-voltage utility projects, working with multidisciplinary teams and engaging in client interactions. Salary: $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
Responsibilities
- Lead design reviews across site layout, grading & drainage, stormwater modeling & design, erosion & sediment control, access road, utility coordination & design, retaining wall layout & design.
- Drive quality assurance for civil components of substation projects, ensuring safety and performance standards.
- Collaborate with other technical disciplines for complex multidisciplinary projects. Oversee bid and construction package development, maintaining alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Act as lead engineer on client projects, providing technical oversight and ensuring deliverables exceed expectations.
- Represent Leidos in client-facing engagements such as kick-off meetings, lunch-and-learns, and industry events.
- Conduct site visits to projects including new developments, substation facilities, transmission lines, and more, applying field insights to strengthen design and execution.
- Champion quality control and safe work practices, embedding compliance and reliability into every project.
- Participate in coaching, guiding, and reviewing work of less experienced team members, fostering technical growth and a collaborative team culture.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution with a minimum of 7 years of directly applicable civil-site design experience.
- Proven Experience as an engineer of record or lead engineer on projects performing QC reviews.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software (preferred) and/or MicroStation OpenSite Designer software.
- Experience with Hydraflow and various other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling & design programs.
- Ability to execute projects and handle client interaction successfully with limited supervision.
- Experience with high-voltage substation projects is highly preferred.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and other general software tools.
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills.

- The pay range for this job is $92,300.00 - $166,850.00.
- This position is based in the US and may require up to 20% travel.
