Lead Principal Recruiter

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle searches for senior technical roles such as Staff+ Engineers, ML Scientists, Data Platform Leaders, Technical Product Managers
  • Build and maintain client relationships with CTOs, VPs of Engineering, founders
  • Manage candidate relationships: source, engage, interview, close top-tier technical talent
  • Run strategic intake sessions to translate business needs into hiring strategies
  • Deliver results, outcomes, timelines, and client satisfaction for complex searches
  • Test Moon Engine in production and provide feedback on AI-assisted sourcing, screening, matching workflows
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to shape AI recruiting tools and document best practices
  • Onboard enterprise clients to Moon Engine and teach them AI-enabled hiring workflows
  • Lead training sessions and strategic consulting for clients on AI integration in recruiting
  • Represent Hop externally at events, podcasts, and content creation

Requirements

  • 5+ years recruiting technical talent with a track record of closing senior/leadership roles (ML Engineers, Staff+ Engineers, Data Platform leads, etc.)
  • Exceptional client relationship skills: advising executives, building trusted partnerships
  • Candidate relationship mastery: attracting, engaging, and closing passive candidates at high levels
  • Fundamentals of sourcing, intake, interviewing, offer negotiation, stakeholder management at a high level
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and its application in recruiting
  • Growth mindset: willingness to learn new tools, experiment, and adapt
