Medical Director, Digital and Everyday Care

Devoted Medical is seeking a Physician Leader to serve as the Medical Director, Digital and Everyday Care, leading clinical operations at the intersection of primary, virtual, and AI-enabled care.

Salary: $265k - $320k / year

Responsibilities

• Co-Lead the Everyday Care program and ensure alignment on operational goals.
• Oversee clinical protocols for medication refills, lab/imaging/DME/home health orders, diagnostic results management, and referrals.
• Collaborate with AI Clinical Operations to refine the human-AI operating model.
• Manage and supervise the NP team supporting digital and portal-based care.
• Support staff through shadowing and chart reviews to ensure clinical excellence.
• Serve as the clinical backstop for complex telehealth cases and digital escalations.
• Ensure quality, safety, and performance of all digital and Everyday Care services.
• Review safety reports and drive initiatives to mitigate clinical risks.
• Monitor clinical quality and identify trends for improvement.
• Develop and evolve the vision for Everyday Care, including AI-enabled channels.
• Lead clinical managers and the NP workforce.
• Build clinical AI tools and ensure team objectives are met.
• Provide direct patient care and handle escalations.
• Review documentation quality and clinical triage accuracy.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to define clinical decision protocols.

Requirements

• Board-certified physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) with 5+ years of clinical practice.
• Experience leading and managing clinicians in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience building or scaling clinical programs (0→1).
• Comfort working with engineering, product, and data teams.
• Experience with virtual care, Medicare populations, or digital health triage systems (preferred).
• Deep curiosity for AI/LLM-based tools and clinical workflows.
