Mental Health Therapist

Affect is expanding its mental health care services by building a high-quality, accessible virtual care team of licensed mental health professionals to help individuals manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $60,000–$80,000/yr

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic assessments and collaboratively develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Provide individual psychotherapy sessions via secure telehealth platforms
• Support Members with a wide range of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges with flexibility to work with members with substance use disorders at times.
• Maintain clear and timely clinical documentation in our electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Coordinate care as needed and contribute to a supportive, multidisciplinary environment
• Participate in clinical team meetings and optional case consultations
• Adhere to HIPAA and all applicable state licensure regulations

Requirements

• Active and verifiable license from Iowa (LISW, LMFT, or LMHC) and your state of residence if different from Iowa
• Experience providing psychotherapy in outpatient, private practice, or telehealth settings
• Strong communication and clinical skills with a person-centered, trauma-informed approach
• Comfort with EMRs, Google Suite or Microsoft Office, and telehealth tools
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting with professionalism and integrity
• Have a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace and reliable internet
