Mortgage Closer III

The role involves performing duties related to the closing and funding of various types of residential mortgage loans, with a senior focus on complex loans, including training new hires.

Location: Remote, Arizona

Salary: $45,100–$85,600/yr

Responsibilities

• Prepare and audit closing documents with high accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure data integrity on processing/closing systems.
• Communicate with escrow/title companies, loan originators, and other parties to meet conditions and regulatory requirements.
• Review signed closing documents to approve loan funding.
• Prepare for disbursement of funds according to transaction terms.
• Perform post-closing tasks such as auditing files, creating delivery-servicing packages, following up for documents and insurance, and ensuring all documents are in order.
• Participate in efforts to improve customer service.
• Manage the HMDA Worksheet.
• Review funding reports to ensure timely funding.
• Review exception reports to ensure task completion.
• Assist in training new hires.
• Act as escalation point within the team.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of previous Closing experience.
• Extensive knowledge of real estate documentation and closing process.
• Knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, Bond, Construction, 203K, and Living Trust loan closings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong PC skills, experience with Mortgage origination systems and technology.
• Organizational skills.
• Teamwork and customer service skills.
• Leadership skills.
