National Medical Director - Remote - 50% Travel

The National Medical Director is a key leadership role responsible for demonstrating the clinical value of Catasys' products and services to clients, influencing account acquisition, retention, and expansion. The role involves external client engagement, internal collaboration, clinical expertise, and strategic communication within a behavioral health and chronic disease management context.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver product-related clinical sales messaging and form relationships with prospective and current customers.
• Create new C-level relationships for growth and expansion through proactive outreach.
• Support sales and account management teams with messaging and insights to drive customer investments.
• Design customer presentations explaining the company's clinical capabilities.
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with customers through clinical analysis, education, and presence.
• Understand health plan industry, plan structures, and key personnel.
• Communicate effectively through written and verbal means.
• Support clinical and strategic initiatives, including public speaking and media activities.
• Use data and BI tools to interpret customer-specific and company-wide data for clinical and financial results.
• Serve as a clinical liaison between operations and customers.
• Test solutions, run clinical experiments, and develop studies for real-world evidence.
• Support interdepartmental projects and possibly oversee medical team members.

Requirements

• 1+ years of medical leadership in health plan or provider side, managing teams, with responsibility for value-based care.
• 3+ years of direct patient care in clinical practice.
• Strong public speaking skills.
• Experience with managed care organizations, including structure, roles, and priorities.
• Clinical research experience and knowledge of study design.
• High business and clinical acumen, flexibility, and strong relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word).
