Risepoint is building a multi-component AI platform for university partners, focusing on real-time orchestration, machine learning, and student engagement workflows. The role involves leading the technical architecture and platform standards to support scalable, reliable, and compliant cloud-native infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and evolution of cloud-native infrastructure for the Student Journey Platform, including services and integrated platforms like Salesforce, DBX, Marketing sites, Azure AI Foundry.
- Establish and promote architecture standards within the platform scope, including service mesh, autoscaling, resource governance, API contracts, and container orchestration.
- Design and implement platform components ensuring resilience, observability, and security for asynchronous AI workloads.
- Align platform architecture with business growth and scalability needs, collaborating with stakeholders.
- Present architecture proposals to the Architecture Review Board for approval, ensuring standards for SLAs, security, compliance, and scalability.
- Identify and resolve architectural risks early, working across teams.
- Debug and resolve production issues related to infrastructure or architecture.
- Implement and manage real-time event streaming pipelines supporting high-volume AI workloads.
- Design and manage multi-tenant cloud infrastructure with compliance and data isolation requirements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with progression into architecture ownership, including hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AKS preferred), Docker, and distributed systems at scale.
- Experience setting technical direction across engineering teams, defining standards, and influencing architecture decisions.
- Deep experience with autoscaling, resource governance, and cost management in cloud environments (Azure preferred).
- Proficiency in translating business requirements into infrastructure architecture, capacity planning, SLA definition, and communication with non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Python, C#, Java, or similar languages, with strong object-oriented fundamentals.
