Join Twilio as a Principal Presales Engineer for the EMEA region, focusing on communications solutions and customer engagement. The role involves technical expertise, relationship building, and supporting sales processes.
Location: Remote - United Kingdom, Ireland, or Spain
Responsibilities
- Work alongside sales and solutions teams through the pre-sales process to strategize and plan for deal success.
- Build business partnerships with Account Executives, focusing on discovery and communicating the value of Twilio solutions.
- Participate in qualification, discovery, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP response, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
- Develop expertise on customer needs and Twilio’s technology.
- Lead technical discovery sessions to uncover customer needs and challenges.
- Build and present complex presentations and product demos.
- Understand customer business and help solve problems and identify opportunities.
- Build trusted advisor relationships at high levels and present innovative solutions.
- Share knowledge, build demo assets, and reusable presentations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years in a technical pre-sales role in CPaaS or Telecom space.
- Solid understanding of the sales cycle and pre-sales engineer role.
- Knowledge of voice protocols (VoIP), SIP, messaging APIs.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate.
- Engaging storyteller capable of communicating complex topics.
- Ability to ask questions to understand customer needs and guide solutions.
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Experience coding in backend languages (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP).
- Experience with web development (JavaScript, React).
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
