Procurement Professional I

This is a high-impact, newly created role for a Procurement Professional at Nielsen, focused on scaling global procurement operations, enhancing profitability, and supporting sustainable growth through strategic sourcing, contract management, and process improvement.

Location: Mexico

Responsibilities

• Align Nielsen's enterprise strategy with category strategies to deliver best-in-class products and services at the lowest possible cost.
• Lead strategic procurement activities, including the assessment, selection, and management of externally contracted services.
• Negotiate requirements and provisions (terms and conditions) to ensure full compliance with laws, regulations, and enterprise policies.
• Serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders, identifying critical business requirements and providing sourcing services that exceed expectations.
• Proactively identify opportunities for new business, process optimization, and system improvements to drive organizational efficiency.
• Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reductions through deep analytics and leverage supplier capabilities to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3–5 years in procurement with a proven track record of driving cost-saving initiatives and successful business outcomes.
• Prior experience in the full sourcing lifecycle (Scoping, SOW Development, Evaluation, Negotiation, and Contract Transition).
• Working knowledge of Ariba, P2P platforms, or spend analytics applications.
• Ability to adapt to different cultures and time zones; comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative global environment.
• Critical ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• A genuine interest in the procurement space and negotiating enterprise agreements with large suppliers.
