Responsibilities
- Meet productivity and quality standards in claim resolution, documentation, and communication.
- Follow-up and collect third-party payer receivables, including denials and appeals.
- Support operations related to third-party accounts receivables across various insurance types.
- Review work lists daily to ensure accounts are processed.
- Utilize government and commercial guidelines for collections and recommend write-offs.
- Practice HIPAA privacy standards and contribute to team goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and follow policies and procedures.
- Use hospital and external software systems and report issues.
- Assist with special projects and participate in training.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One year related work experience or college degree.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices.
- Extensive experience with PC applications, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
