The Capstone Program Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, supporting, and coordinating industry-sponsored student capstone projects in an online, competency-based university setting. The role involves relationship management, project design, platform training, and client engagement to ensure successful project completion and program delivery.

Responsibilities
- Identify, recruit, and engage Project Leaders from industry to sponsor student capstone projects across multiple majors.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective Project Leaders to staff approximately 20 projects annually.
- Conduct outreach and presentations to prospective Project Leaders.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from initial contact to onboarding.
- Maintain records of outreach activity and recruitment outcomes.
- Work with Project Leaders to co-create project briefs suitable for online learning.
- Guide Project Leaders in designing deliverables and milestones.
- Provide ongoing support and coaching to Project Leaders.
- Help Project Leaders understand student context and set realistic expectations.
- Develop onboarding resources and templates.
- Onboard and train Project Leaders on software tools and platforms.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support.
- Serve as a resource for students with questions about projects or platform.
- Identify and escalate platform or process issues.
- Serve as the primary contact for the university client, providing updates and reports.
- Communicate challenges and resolutions to ensure program continuity.
- Prepare progress reports and contribute to strategic discussions.
- Support students navigating questions about their projects and platform.
- Foster a supportive environment for students.
- Escalate concerns as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in outreach, sales, recruitment, or business development combined with project or program management.
- Success in a client-facing role with trust-building and expectation management skills.
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects and relationships.
- Experience in online, competency-based, or non-traditional education environments preferred.
- Proficiency with digital collaboration and project management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree; relevant experience may substitute.
