Program Officer I - Research & Evidence

The Research and Evidence Group is seeking a Program Officer I to support research projects across various technical areas including health, child development, and economic opportunity. The role involves administrative, project management, and financial support to ensure successful project execution and compliance.

Location: United States

Salary: USD 53,000 - 63,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring project deliverables and funder requirements are met.
• Implement project management best practices and processes.
• Manage vendor lifecycle for subawards and consultants.
• Maintain understanding of project goals, deliverables, and timelines.
• Serve as liaison to internal units such as finance, contracts, and procurement.
• Assist in managing project and department calendars.
• Set up and maintain electronic and physical project files.
• Send reminders for reporting deadlines and deliverables.
• Review and contribute to work plans.
• Support project teams administratively and coordinate meetings and travel.
• Facilitate communication and update project websites.
• Collect data and metrics for reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field such as Civil Society, Communication, Economic Development, Education, Environment, Gender, Health, Nutrition, Research, Technology, or Youth.
• Minimum of 2+ years supporting projects or in a technical practice area.
• Experience in NGO, government, or private organization.
