Project Estimator

STARK UK is seeking a Project Estimator to join their estimation team, focusing on transforming build plans into accurate cost estimates for various construction projects. The role is home-based with occasional travel, emphasizing communication, collaboration, and technical skills.

Location: Remote (UK)

Responsibilities

• Manage estimating across a diverse range of projects including extensions, renovations, loft conversions, standard new builds, and barn conversions.
• Build strong relationships with customers, service teams, sales teams, and local branches.
• Liaise with external suppliers for technical support and accuracy in estimates.
• Provide timely responses to technical on-site queries, support issue resolution, and update estimates and reports.
• Handle administrative tasks related to estimating, amendments, and material scheduling.
• Create estimates and pricing proposals using internal Core pricing programmes Raptor & Planswift, with full training provided.

Requirements

• Previous knowledge in estimating for extensions, renovations, loft conversions, new builds, and barn conversions.
• Basic knowledge of build regulations.
• Experience reading and understanding architectural drawings and structural specifications.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Access, Word, Excel).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
