Project Officer, Payments Development & Data Connectivity (Contract)

We are seeking a Project Officer to support the next phase of payments development in Singapore, focusing on operational readiness of the Singapore Payments Network (SPaN). The role involves working with industry stakeholders, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies to ensure successful project implementation. This is a fully remote contract role until December 2026.

Responsibilities

• Shape the national strategies and plans for the development of Singapore’s payment infrastructures.
• Analyse key trends driving payments innovation, cross-border payments, and governance models.
• Work closely with payments ecosystem stakeholders to co-create payment strategies and coordinate implementation.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones for successful project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business, finance, technology or related field.
• Solid experience in project management on payments/banking technology projects.
• Relevant experience in digital payments and financial technology development/implementation.
• Strong understanding of payment systems, local and global payments landscape, financial technology and infrastructure, and banking industry trends.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and execution, with stakeholder management skills.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
