Quantum Physics Researcher | Remote

Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. They are hiring a Physics Subject Matter Expert for a contract role to contribute to AI innovation through physics expertise.

Location: Remote

Salary: $70–$90/hour

Responsibilities

• Develop challenging problems in String theory, Quantum Field theory, particle physics, or nuclear physics to inform AI innovation.
• Contribute to high-quality data creation for state-of-the-art large language models.
• Evaluate and refine AI model training and outputs with rigorous physics expertise.
• Collaborate asynchronously and independently to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure complex instructions are followed accurately to enhance AI model performance.

Requirements

• PhD in Physics with specialization in String theory, Quantum Field theory, particle physics, or nuclear physics.
• Graduate degree from US/UK/Canada/Western Europe.
• High attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent proficiency in English.
