A role supporting Australian workers compensation processes, combining administrative, payroll, and injury management skills. The candidate should be highly organized, proactive, and able to work with multiple stakeholders.
Location: Remote (Australia)
Responsibilities
- Manage receipt, logging, and distribution of medical certificates, reports, and insurer instructions.
- Support submission and notification of claims to relevant states.
- Maintain accurate injury management records.
- Assist with coordination of suitable duties and claim updates.
- Follow-up with insurers, rehab providers, and workers for documentation and approvals.
- Track outstanding certificates and return to work plans.
- Manage weekly payroll processing for injured workers.
- Assess and calculate Pre-Injury Average Weekly Earnings (PIAWE).
- Reconcile payroll data with insurer determinations and deadlines.
- Prepare and submit reimbursement requests for wages and costs.
- Reconcile remittances and reimbursements.
- Process medical expense reimbursements.
- Maintain high-volume document workflows, upload, index, and code documents.
- Ensure communication with insurers, providers, and staff is recorded.
- Build relationships with insurers, brokers, treatment providers, and rehab consultants.
- Communicate with injured workers empathetically and professionally.
- Support internal teams for injury management outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and confidentiality.
- Support audits, reviews, and reporting.
