Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax, and assurance firm with a global network, providing professional services across various regions. The firm is seeking a Risk Advisory Services Principal to lead and grow its Risk Advisory practice, offering strategic risk management, governance, internal audit, compliance, IT, and cybersecurity services.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, management, and strategic direction for the Risk Advisory practice.
• Translate firm vision into actionable business plans and monitor progress.
• Develop sales and marketing plans, pursue new and existing clients, and participate in proposals.
• Coordinate firm resources to deliver high-quality services.
• Ensure team training, development, and recognition.
• Oversee practice profitability, including personnel utilization and fee collection.
• Work with clients to understand their businesses and manage financial and operational risks.
• Develop in-depth client industry knowledge through direct interaction.
• Provide strategic advice and implement new processes and controls.
• Assess and manage risks across operational audit, ERM, and SOX compliance.
• Review client processes against industry frameworks and communicate findings.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Produce reports and engagement documentation.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Lead professional presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or related field.
• CPA or CIA designation(s).
• 12+ years of experience in risk advisory, audit, or internal controls.
• 7+ years of supervisory experience.
• Proven success in building and growing a Risk Advisory practice.
• Strong business development skills.
• Ability to lead, supervise, and provide excellent client service.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
