Senior Account Associate – Commercial Insurance

Provide administrative and customer service support to the account team, ensuring production and quality standards are met while safeguarding against liability. Manage small-sized or less complex accounts and resolve customer service issues independently.

Location: Tampa, FL

Salary: $55,000–$65,000/yr

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing day-to-day activities and workflow of team support staff.
• Track policy expirations and ensure renewals are processed accurately and on time.
• Handle policy endorsements, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, and related tasks.
• Support new and renewal business processes including client research, underwriting, proposals, and policy issuance.
• Assist in reviewing contracts for proper coverages.
• Monitor and collect outstanding balances from delinquent accounts.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain communication with the account team regarding workload and issues.
• Deliver excellent customer service and respond quickly to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices for performance improvement.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership in line with IOA values.

Requirements

• 3+ years of customer service experience in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active insurance licensing, professional designation (CISR) preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
