Senior Accounting Manager

PolyAI automates customer service through lifelike voice assistants that enable businesses to deliver outstanding customer service. The company is expanding its US operations and is hiring a senior US financial control professional to manage accounting functions end-to-end, including month-end close, audit, tax, and payroll.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $130,000 – $155,000

Responsibilities

• Run the full month-end close process for US & Canadian entities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
• Manage end-to-end US & Canadian payroll processing via Rippling, including new hire setup, benefits deductions, multi-state withholding, and year-end W-2 reporting.
• Own multi-state sales tax compliance via Anrok, including nexus monitoring, registrations, return review, and filings.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external tax preparers on federal and state corporate income tax returns, estimated payments, and filings.
• Lead the US side of the annual audit, preparing schedules, responding to auditor requests, and ensuring a smooth process.
• Apply ASC 606 to SaaS revenue streams, document accounting positions, and ensure consistent treatment.
• Manage other compliance activities such as 1099 reporting, state filings, business licenses, and regulatory matters.
• Provide timely, accurate actuals and analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including industry experience.
• SaaS industry experience, understanding subscription revenue, deferred revenue, ARR/MRR mechanics.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Experience with public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier) and SaaS industry.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition for SaaS.
• Hands-on experience with US multi-state sales tax compliance, preferably with Anrok.
• Experience leading or supporting external audits.
• Comfortable working as the senior accounting person in a small/lean US environment.
• Experience with modern SaaS finance stack, including ERP systems like Campfire or NetSuite, and tools like Rippling, Brex, Tipalti.
• Interest or experience in AI tools for finance workflows.
• Strong judgment and communication skills.
